The Lake Erie Crushers, a professional baseball team in the independent Frontier League, sport a logo that looks like an angry, purple grape. It’s perfect for a team in Lorain County, which is known for its wineries and vineyards.
But fans are really crazy for peanuts, not wine, at Sprenger Health Care Stadium. Peanuts are the most popular snack and 2,500 bags a season are sold. More stats per season:

35,000: hot dogs are consumed
960 lbs: ketchup squirted
2,140 lbs: nachos devoured
4 TONS: recyclable items recovered

Catie Graf, the stadium’s director of marketing and promotions, says the best seats in the 3,000-seat stadium (5,000 if you count suites, groups and berm areas) are behind home plate in section 109 because “it’s covered by a net.” One thousand bobbleheads of Austin Carr (provided by the Ohio Lottery) will be given away Sept. 1.
