The rose garden at Lorain’s Lakeview Park was originally dedicated on May 30, 1932, and
was sponsored by 17 organizations, including the Lorain Rotary. The shape of the garden is a
wheel with eight spokes to match the Rotary city emblem. There are 48 beds, which contain
approximately 2,500 roses. Lorain County Metro Parks worked with Historical Rose Garden
Restoration Committee on the renovation of the beautiful rose garden.
